# Conduct Policy for Players and Parents of Bearcat Soccer Club

## Introduction

The Bearcat Soccer Club is dedicated to creating a positive and supportive environment for all players, parents, coaches, and staff. This conduct policy outlines the expectations for behavior and responsibilities of both players and parents involved in the club. Bearcat Soccer Club has a zero tolerance policy for harassment, slander, racism, bullying.

## Player Conduct

1.   **Respect for Teammates and Coaches** 

   Players must show respect and sportsmanship toward teammates, coaches, and opponents at all times. This includes listening to coaches' instructions, encouraging fellow players, and avoiding any form of bullying or harassment.

2.   **Commitment to Attendance and Punctuality** 

   Players are expected to attend all practices and games unless excused by a coach. Arriving on time demonstrates a commitment to the team and allows for proper preparation.

3.   **Adherence to Club Rules and Dress Code** 

   Players must adhere to all club rules, including wearing the appropriate team uniform and equipment during practices and games. ( Shin guards, cleats, are mandatory) no jewelry shall be worn at practice or games. This includes earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches)

4.   **Focus on Skill Development and Teamwork** 

   Players should focus on developing their individual skills while also contributing to the overall success and cohesion of the team. 5. **Positive Attitude and Effort** 

   Players are encouraged to maintain a positive attitude, give their best effort in all activities, and be open to constructive feedback.

## Parent Conduct

1.   **Supportive and Encouraging Behavior** 

   Parents are expected to support and encourage all players, coaches, and referees. Negative comments or criticism during games or practices are discouraged. Any disrespect, foul language, or hostility towards players, coaches, refs will result in ejection of game. Possible removal from program, is at the club discretion.

2.   **Respect for Coaches and Officials** 

   Parents should respect the decisions of coaches and officials, understanding that their roles are to provide a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants. No parent shall interact with Officials at any time during the game. All parents are to seat in the designated area for parents, at no time are parents allowed on team bench.

3.   **Communication and Involvement** 

   Parents are encouraged to communicate with coaches regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Active involvement in club activities and events is also welcomed. If any questions arise during play of game please address the coach at the next practice.

4.   **Sportsmanship and Role Modeling** 

   Demonstrating sportsmanship and serving as positive role models for the players are essential responsibilities of parents. This includes refraining from inappropriate language or behavior. Bearcat Soccer Club reserves the right to bar/remove any person who does not comply with rules and regulations of the club and league (NWISL).

5.   **Adherence to Club Policies** 

   Parents must adhere to all club policies, including those related to attendance, fees, and conduct.

Compliance ensures a smooth operation of the club and a positive experience for all members. ## Conclusion
