Player & Parent Conduct Policy**
Introduction
The Bearcat Soccer Club is committed to providing a positive, safe, and supportive environment for all players, parents, coaches, referees, and staff. This Conduct Policy outlines the expectations for behavior and responsibilities of both players and parents. Bearcat Soccer Club has a zero‑tolerance policy for harassment, slander, racism, and bullying.
Player Conduct
1. Respect for Teammates and Coaches
Players must show respect and sportsmanship toward teammates, coaches, opponents, and referees at all times. This includes:
Listening to coaches’ instructions
Encouraging fellow players
Avoiding any form of bullying, harassment, or disrespect
2. Attendance and Punctuality
Players are expected to attend all practices and games unless excused by a coach. Arriving on time shows commitment and ensures proper preparation.
3. Adherence to Club Rules & Dress Code
Players must follow all club rules, including wearing the appropriate uniform and equipment:
Shin guards and cleats are mandatory
No jewelry may be worn during practices or games (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches)
4. Focus on Skill Development & Teamwork
Players should work to improve their individual skills while contributing to the overall success, unity, and sportsmanship of the team.
5. Positive Attitude & Effort
Players are expected to maintain a positive attitude, give their best effort, and be open to constructive feedback.
Parent Conduct
1. Supportive & Encouraging Behavior
Parents are expected to support all players, coaches, and referees. The following behaviors are prohibited:
Violations may result in ejection from the game and possible removal from the program at the club’s discretion.
2. Respect for Coaches & Officials
Parents must respect the decisions of coaches and referees.
No parent may interact with officials at any time during the game.
Parents must remain in the designated spectator area.
Parents are not permitted on the team bench at any time.
3. Communication & Involvement
Parents are encouraged to communicate with coaches regarding their child’s progress or concerns. If questions arise during a game, they should be addressed at the next practice, not during play.
4. Sportsmanship & Role Modeling
Parents must demonstrate sportsmanship and serve as positive role models. Bearcat Soccer Club reserves the right to bar or remove any person who does not comply with club or NWISL rules and regulations.
5. Adherence to Club Policies
Parents must follow all club policies, including those related to attendance, fees, and conduct. Compliance ensures smooth club operations and a positive experience for all families. Bearcat Soccer Club will not issue any refunds.
